I am a mixed media artist working mainly in collage, watercolour and acrylics, inspired by wildlife, nature and everyday objects I see around me.

Originally from South Africa now living in the UK my work continues to be inspired by the colour and light of Africa and its amazing wildlife. I am aware of the plight of many endangered species and so often my wildlife paintings will have an element of trying to bring awareness to the viewer of these animals' struggles for survival.

I bring  collage into my paintings to add texture, pattern and intrigue. I love ephemera, torn paper, old maps, words and patterned papers. Often I will make my own handmade papers and hand painted decorated paper to use in my work. In commissioned work I would us items such as diary excerpts, ticket stubs, travel mementos, and maps for something that is truly unique in the painting.

Hiding collaged elements in the work is like a treasure hunt guiding a person through the work.
